Overview

The Companies Act 71 of 2008 forms the foundation of company governance and compliance in South Africa, yet many of its requirements are encountered by accounting and company secretarial professionals as part of their day-to-day work. Understanding the legal requirements behind company records, shares, directors, decision-making and ongoing statutory compliance is essential to ensuring that companies remain properly administered and compliant.
